Production blog: Changes Made for Film Review Editing

The film review was very much needed for our group. Yes our film got its point across however it definitely had flaws. For example, our timing was too short. The lighting had to be fixed. We need more footage to make jump cuts from clip back to clip. We need more dialogue. We also needed more context on what was going on. The first thing we did was film. The only way to fix’s these mistakes were to re-film and film new stuff. We mainly only needed me and Lili to film. We meet up on Sunday to film. We filmed me looking for Angie. And Lili looking for a hiding spot to run to. We also filmed mini clips for jump cuts to add the horror sense. We make sure to include things like shadows and the moon. Which was full that night. Full moons show significance in horror movies. We additionally fixed the lighting in the film. This was to be able to see what was occurring. Additionally, we added shadows to what we could see to much of. I think we did a really good job. I am most definitely proud of my group and everything we accomplished.

The heat.

 On Tuesday, the 28 I started filming. So first I had to change to a more causal clothing attire. Even though I would only be showing my legs in these scenes. I changed into sweatpants to film my first two scenes. I started off by filming the second scene first. The second scene is the 180 view of the Nike Air-forces. I decide to film this shot in the sun because it gave my shoes great lighting. Additionally, my shoes have a holographic piece and it changes colors with the lighting. I kept retaking my shot because it kept coming out shaky and it had to be smooth. Also, due to the sun it caused there to be a shadow. It was very difficult not to get my shadow while I was shooting. In my opinion, if it has the shadow it may look unprofessional. After, 5 takes I got the perfect one. Angie: Not really, but more of an annoying comment.  Aleiah: He should mind his own business for once in a while.
