Music video

My group and I have finally finished the filming and editing. I am glad to say that I have learned a lot during this process. I was able to improve on conducting specific moods through filming, and how the angles and lighting play such important roles in the setting. I am very satisfied with the outcome of my video, although it has been a bit stressful at times. The editing part was by far the toughest, while filming went overly smoothly, thanks to my great group mates. By comparing the music video to my commercial, I am seeing great changes an efforts. Not only the acting got better, but my skills in filming and editing as well. By exploring the editing app I’ve used, I discovered many new options that have greatly helped me achieve my goal by creating a well-made commercial. In conclusion, I am far from being disappointed and I am highly grateful for my great group mates that have made it easier to make a good project. I look forward to continue working with them in the future

Production blog: Backup plan

On Thursday, 9 December my group and I executed our back up plan. The reason why we had a back up plan is because we could not shoot the scene in the mall. None of my group meets and I had any extra free days to film. Our back up plan was to go to Dairy Queen and a park. This backup plan was very difficult to plan. But in the end it was most likely the best result my group and I were going to have. It also brought us all closer to together. We filmed at Dairy Queen having a fun time and eating blizzards. This was a difficult scene to shoot because it was sunny and hot. Our ice cream was melting and so were we. This is because the last time my group and I filmed it was very cold outside. This time it was hot and we were all wearing sweaters and jeans. We were sweating. Afterwards, we came across a park. And decided to spontaneously film. Our cameraman filmed us walking and talking. And we decided to run around and joke. This created a sense of naturalness in our video. When we looked a

Production blog: I can’t see it.

On Thursday, 2 December my group and I decided to make the final edits to our video. We were still missing one scene but we decided to do what we should just edit. Then later on add the missing scene. The reason why my group and I  were editing our music video was because a scene was filmed too far. We had planned that in our music video we could see the person sending a text message. However, when we re-watched our video we noticed that you cannot read it. My group and I also got multiple opinions from different people. We did this to make sure it was not just my group that couldn’t read it. So  due to this my group and I  ended up adding side text. We did this using the application cut-up. We did this to make it more realistic and more readable. After we finished this it looked a lot better. It was readable and big. With all this said it helped create more of an ambiance to our music video that we didn’t have before. But we were not done yet. We additionally had to edit the sound. W
