Production blog: Filming at Lili’s

               On Tuesday, 23rd of November my group and I started filming at Lili’s house. At Lili’s house my group and I started filming the beginning of our video. But first we had to set up. Together in my group and I put the tripod stand up, closed all the curtains in the room, and made sure that the main character Angie changed. To begin with we had to change the camera settings after we set up. For a camera we used a iPhone. The settings on the video were 60fps and 4K recording. I additionally changed the exposure on the video. I lowered the exposure on the video settings because it created a sort of environment ambience that my group and I wanted to create. The exposure was only lowered in the beginning of the video. This is because the main character was sad and later on when the main characters friends come and cheer her up the exposure goes up. Production Blog: Sound Cutting

     On Thursday, the 18th my group and I started editing the sound to our music video. My group decided to edit the music. This was decided because I wanted to add every part of the song to the one minute and fifteen second video. To do this our group member Lili had to cut almost a four minute long song to have every part needed for our storyboard. My group first started to think about what was needed to create a storyline to our video. This song had a repeated chorus. So Lili cut the repeated chorus. The song "who says" additionally has a part in the song where it was just ambient sound. Due to this, Lili cut out this noise. Together, my group and I decided that a fade in the beginning was important. Additionally decided, a fade out at the end of song was also best. I thought that adding the fade-in and out would create a monumental moment. It creates a scene of beginning and finish to the song. A challenge that was faced was making the music the correct time. First scene- During this scene, the main character is on her phone, receiving a heartbreaking message from her boyfriend. This scene will be an over the shoulder shot.    Second scene- During this scene, the main character then pulls her sweatshirt strings then falls back on her bed. This scene will be shot as a high angle. It will be a bird's eye shot.   Third scene- During this scene, the main character’s friends come in and try to cheer up the main character. They grab her phone and text the lyrics of the song “But who are you to judge”. This will a eye level shot.   Fourth scene- During this scene, the main character's hands grab her hands to pull her up and make her stand. It will be an eye level shot.    Fifth scene- During this scene, the main character and her friends will be sitting on the floor and doing the iconic changing maneuver. The clothes will be all over. This will be shot in a high angel.   Sixth scene- Angie's friends sit on the couch, bopping their head

Props:   Since  my group and I chose  a  p op  song ,  ‘’ Who Says ”  by  Selena Gomez,  which  overall  is feminine,  our props will be :   M irror   P hon e   H airbrush     C rown   M akeup brush   Li pstick   Costumes:     In our music video, we will have one person as the main character. The rest of the actor will be her friends and lift her up.  The actors will wear:   Hoodie   S weatpants   Socks   T- Shirt    Jeans   Causal clothing      Schedule:   On  11/16/21, our group will  establish  the props, costume, schedule, location list , and backup plan.   On 11/19/21, our group will create the storyboard for the 1 minute and 15  second   video .   On 11/23/21, our group will film and record our shots for our music video.   On 11/ 29 – 12/10, our group will  continue  filming  and  editing the  necessary shots .   On  12/ 11/21, our group will edit and add the  final changes  to  the music video.     Location list:   Our main filming location  will be at our group members  Lili

  Research  B log       My   group is doing a Selena Gomez  & The Scene  pop song, titled “Who  S ays .”  This type of song usually portrays elated emotions  as well as  lifting people up  throughout music videos.     CLAMPS   People  in videos like these  usually wear c asual clothes ,  accessories, sunglasses , layering, and shorts.  The hairstyle is usually let down.  Men usually wear hats.     Their  makeup is soft. Including mascara, lip gloss , eyeliner , and  neutral eye shadow.   The lighting is usually vibrant or soft. It may look vintage, filtered,  grainy , and a yellow  tint .   The pe ople in videos  usually act happy and let loose. Many people are also dancing.   The props used  in  alike pop videos are  hairbrushes,  lipstick s , balloons ,  microphones,   phone s , mirror s , shoes /heels  being held, and  camera s .   The setting is usually  out doors , stores, restaurants,  etc.  There is a variety of settings in one video. For example, a setting could be a party.
