Production blog: Setting up our dates

 Right before the end of January my group and I all decided the dates of filming. We all mostly have a complicated schedules. Most of the group does sports and has a divided schedule due to separated parents. So we had to make sure everyone was available on the day of filming. And we also needed an extra actor to be the boyfriend of the main character. Nicole wasn’t available after 7 Monday through Saturday. I can not film Tuesday, Thursday, nor every other Friday or weekend. But I could film on specific weekends, Mondays and Wednesdays. Nicole also wasn’t going to be available through February 20 -28. So we had to make sure to film early. Macaria was always available. Except for Sunday and Saturday from 9 am to 1pm. To find the actor who would play the boyfriend of the main character we needed to find someone who was also free. Also to be free on the days we were. Nicole and I had asked many of our friends but none of them were able. And some were to afraid to be filmed. Our friend Felipe was available. He also wanted to film and be the boyfriend. But we just had to be careful at what time because he has job. He didn’t want it to land during his shift. So the set filming date that we planned was February 12th. February 12th was Sunday and the time we had planned was at 12pm.

The heat.

 On Tuesday, the 28 I started filming. So first I had to change to a more causal clothing attire. Even though I would only be showing my legs in these scenes. I changed into sweatpants to film my first two scenes. I started off by filming the second scene first. The second scene is the 180 view of the Nike Air-forces. I decide to film this shot in the sun because it gave my shoes great lighting. Additionally, my shoes have a holographic piece and it changes colors with the lighting. I kept retaking my shot because it kept coming out shaky and it had to be smooth. Also, due to the sun it caused there to be a shadow. It was very difficult not to get my shadow while I was shooting. In my opinion, if it has the shadow it may look unprofessional. After, 5 takes I got the perfect one.
