Production blog: Editing part one

My group and I are using imovie to edit the short film. We put in the first scenes into the imovie today. We kinda had a disagreement on how everything was going to work. The communication is failing in our group. Nicole and I had a fight. It was bad. But we are working through it to be able to film again. We need to talk through it in order to get through this. Communication is key in a group project. However, Macaria is on the same page. She is helping us with whatever we need. If it’s emotional help or driving. Macaria is always there to help. So we added the scenes. Macaria also started adding the titles and all the names of the stages. The stages that were added were only three. Denial, Sorrow, and Anger. I am going to add the breakup scene. And Nicole is going to add the bargaining and the acceptance stage of heartbreak. We are going to get through this editing then start filming the second part.

The heat.

 On Tuesday, the 28 I started filming. So first I had to change to a more causal clothing attire. Even though I would only be showing my legs in these scenes. I changed into sweatpants to film my first two scenes. I started off by filming the second scene first. The second scene is the 180 view of the Nike Air-forces. I decide to film this shot in the sun because it gave my shoes great lighting. Additionally, my shoes have a holographic piece and it changes colors with the lighting. I kept retaking my shot because it kept coming out shaky and it had to be smooth. Also, due to the sun it caused there to be a shadow. It was very difficult not to get my shadow while I was shooting. In my opinion, if it has the shadow it may look unprofessional. After, 5 takes I got the perfect one.
