Production blog: Change of Original Plan

The plan in the start was too meet at Lili’s house on the next Monday to film. We were going to start filming at 7:00am to 12:00pm. After morning filming, we were planning to have some fun while we were taking a break. We were going to have a picnic. The picnic was right next to our filming location which was perfect. The park also has a playground we were going to take group pictures. We were setting up who was bringing what. We need a blanket, basket, and most importantly food. Then we were going to drive to the mall. I say drive because my group member Angie is getting her drivers license  on Friday so she can drive us everywhere. Afterwards, we had to do the night filming. This was from 7:00 to 9:00pm. The night filming was hard to plan because most of us have practice. I have practice from 7:00 to 9:00 but not on that Monday. Everything was great until one of my group members told us that she would not be able to make it. Aleiah had a dance competition on that same day and wasn’t available to film. We keep talking over and over when we are going to film. However it feels like we are getting no where. All of us are very busy. I have a feeling we are all going to have to make sacrifices we may or may not be willing to take.

The heat.

 On Tuesday, the 28 I started filming. So first I had to change to a more causal clothing attire. Even though I would only be showing my legs in these scenes. I changed into sweatpants to film my first two scenes. I started off by filming the second scene first. The second scene is the 180 view of the Nike Air-forces. I decide to film this shot in the sun because it gave my shoes great lighting. Additionally, my shoes have a holographic piece and it changes colors with the lighting. I kept retaking my shot because it kept coming out shaky and it had to be smooth. Also, due to the sun it caused there to be a shadow. It was very difficult not to get my shadow while I was shooting. In my opinion, if it has the shadow it may look unprofessional. After, 5 takes I got the perfect one. Script Scene 1 [Soundtrack starts] Angie: That’s when I told him that he needs to be careful with what comes out of his mouth! Lili: Did he insult you? Angie: Not really, but more of an annoying comment.  Aleiah: He should mind his own business for once in a while.
