Production blog: Change of plans

 Today we had a plan to film. As our second day of filming the short film but we weren’t able to. Our group members got in a disagreement. They debated on what we should do. And everyone is not talking. Or able to film today. We are going through a tough time. However, we will work through it. In the mean time, I wrote out everything we need to do and get done. I am so tired of having this weight on my shoulders of filming. This is super stressful because I have practice. Also, days that I am unavailable. I just can’t film on days I have a lot of homework. So it makes it really hard to be spontaneous. So much planning needs to go into filming. However, most of my group members can just film whenever so it makes it really difficult. Many times they just don’t understood where I’m coming from. But it’s okay we are going to work through this conflict. In the mean time, I let everyone know when I was available or not. I also kept editing the short film. Adding transition between the scenes and filter to match the mood.

The heat.

 On Tuesday, the 28 I started filming. So first I had to change to a more causal clothing attire. Even though I would only be showing my legs in these scenes. I changed into sweatpants to film my first two scenes. I started off by filming the second scene first. The second scene is the 180 view of the Nike Air-forces. I decide to film this shot in the sun because it gave my shoes great lighting. Additionally, my shoes have a holographic piece and it changes colors with the lighting. I kept retaking my shot because it kept coming out shaky and it had to be smooth. Also, due to the sun it caused there to be a shadow. It was very difficult not to get my shadow while I was shooting. In my opinion, if it has the shadow it may look unprofessional. After, 5 takes I got the perfect one.
